CROWDFUNDING: Irish fiddler Clare Sands launches FundIt campaign for new self-titled album

by Chris

“The Cork-based artist with deep family roots in Northern Ireland and County Wexford, took up the fiddle at the age of four, learning tunes from her father Seamus on a weekly basis while her mother Susan introduced her to the Blues. Described as an ‘Irish fiddle playing reincarnation of Janis Joplin’, Sands has been wowing audiences around the world with her groundbreaking style, sultry and gravelly vocals, exceptional performance, and infinite energy.”

It’s been 4 years since the release of Clare Sands’ debut album “Join Me At The Table”. Now the prolific fiddler has created a FundIt campaign to help fund her new self-titled full-length.

“This album will be a pulsating journey for all the senses, with tunes to move to, and songs to get lost in….all driven, by a fearless front woman.

I am now preparing to go into the studio this November. I am excited to step into this new stage, and into a room full of incredible musicians. Together, we make a truly innovative sound, navigating through uncharted territories. We are ever evolving and forever pushing boundaries.”
