Lorraine Nash is an Irish folk singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. Performing since early childhood, Nash is a talented pianist, guitar, harp, flute and fiddle player. In June 2020, she released her debut EP “Wildflower“, consisting of 5 wonderful Americana inspired tracks with hints of Irish folk.
Nash’ music is beautifully crafted with solid instrumentation and capable vocal work. The music is transatlantic to the core, drawing inspirations from American roots, infused with elements of Irish traditional music. From the hills of Appalachia to the windswept west coast of Ireland, Nash takes you on a journey that transcends musical borders.
Her newest single, “River” , out October 23, is the third single from her debut EP Wildflower. The song tackles feelings of grief and loss, enduring and overcoming. It’s also one of the most Irish trad inspired songs on the EP, and we can’t get enough of it here at Folkconnection.
